Hi! I’m Wei from Taiwan 🇹🇼 (IG: @wichouuuuu)

This is my first time using Couchsurfing — I’m excited (and a little nervous) to try this new way of connecting with people.

After working at Onitsuka Tiger for two years, I quit my job in April to backpack through Europe this summer. I’ll be traveling for about 3 months across different countries, and then heading to the U.S. around September. It’s a bit of a soul-searching trip — I’m hoping to learn, get inspired, and meet people from all walks of life.

I’m using Couchsurfing not just to save money (though that helps!), but because I genuinely love conversations and learning how people live differently in other parts of the world.

I’m the kind of traveler who prefers local noodle shops over top-rated places. I love wandering into random alleys, sitting at a park bench, or chatting with someone over a cup of coffee or beer.

In my free time, I play basketball 🏀, guitar 🎸, and recently started filming and video editing. I’m always exploring new ways to express myself and stay curious.

easygoing, respectful, and clean. I’d be happy to share stories from Taiwan, teach you a few Mandarin words, or just chill and exchange ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to share/hear stories with others. People always are the reason why I travel. My friend told me that CS can really make some genuine friends, at the same time spare some budget for the journey.
