I rely on hospitality while traveling, so I'll happily offer the same.
I am a student in NC State's Physics Graduate Program going for a Ph.D. I suppose I'm a scientist at heart, but in my spare time I delve in arts such as music, photography, animation and film. I've been playing guitar for over a decade and I've developed a quite eclectic music taste in addition to an appreciation of almost any genre of music. Queen is by far my favorite band, but I have also a great respect for improvisational styles like jazz and bluegrass as well as good songwriting.
I make internet videos on Science, Food, Travel and more! Go to http://www.youtube.com/thepointstudios to watch them!
Other than that, I found a love for good food (I cook) and craft beer (I brew) and I try to get in a game of tennis when I can.
Traveling keeps life interesting and new people and experiences broaden one's mind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I found a love for the road a few years ago. It's great to have a place to crash besides a hotel or campsite (I still recommend camping, I love camping on a trip). So if you'd let me sleep on your couch, I'd let you sleep on mine. My door's always open.
I like maps. I like people. Here's a map of the various places I've traveled and the various people I've met so far: https://goo.gl/QmwSKV CouchSurfing makes this possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a month and 10,000 miles driving around the US. I got to see my country and experience the road. A flavor of America, it's cities, national parks, and breweries. Then I did another 5 trips over 3,000 miles because I couldn't get enough! I'm at 47 US states and counting!
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe the sandwich is the most elegant form of food. It is the most versatile and most complete. I am willing to prepare, teach, and consume any of my personal creations with any willing to enjoy them (including many tastes from vegetarian to the best hamburger you will ever have).
