About Me

I love to travel! Get my adrenaline dose from running . I am a open minded guy and love to meet people from different regions and learn about cultures, food and travel stories.

My kryptonite is food, and Singapore has some of the best food in the world. So if u r looking for a foodie adventure in Singapore, look me up!
If you are keen on food rescue, there are some activities during the week where we need volunteers. Why throw way food that doesn’t look nice but still good to eat?

If you see me on hangouts in Singapore, let’s go foodsurfing! I love to share our hawker culture with visitors! And it’s cheap too ($5 or less per meal).

I’m an advocate for clean energy and environment. Hence my guest house does not have a/c (this might change during heatwave 🥵, but there is cold shower) and I don’t drive. There is just way too much pollution on this planet, so I ask of you to do the same and keep our planet sustainable 🙏
I also love to walk and find the best way to explore any city is by walking, or public transport. Showing my guests around town helps me clock my daily 10k steps 🥳

For more information on my guest house, pls read My Home section.

I split my time between Singapore and KL. If our paths do cross when I am traveling, let’s meetup for some good food 😋

There are not many Singapore-born hosts. Most parents brought us up to be wary of strangers, and home invites, especially strangers are like taboo.
Having lived a substantial part of my life abroad, I grew a 3rd eye now that embraces the values of Couchsurfing. 😉
Sorry mom 🙈

I don’t drink much now (unless it’s on work trip ✌️)
I don’t smoke.
I party less now.
I love coffee and sweet snacks (my tummy is happy)
I enjoy food cultural exchange (tell me what’s your country local food like)
I love hitting on supermarkets whenever I travel (hello Costco)😅
I enjoy hosting my guests up at Marina Bay Sands rooftop for the sunset on weekends (when I am free)

I'm into bug bounties and anything related to Offsec/Cloud/HTB
If you are still trying to find purpose in life, come talk to me 🤣
Lived most of my life in Pennsylvania, California and Washington state. Now going full circle and back to my roots.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Had my first experience many years ago and until now, we are still awesome friends🙏

Best part of CS is making new friends, learning new cultures and build lifelong friendships. I am grateful for the surfers I have met during my journey. Some have not only become my friends, but are my family.

Whenever I am traveling for work, if I have a spare bed, I will try to host. I really hate to eat dinner alone while on the road for work, so I will try to host whenever possible. I get too many requests for hosting in Singapore so if I get to know you while I am traveling, it makes it a lot easier to host u when I am back home.

A very good friend from Couchsurfing passed away and I have always been amazed by this giving nature. Imagine getting hosted for 2 years during Covid lockdown. In memory, I shall continue the good work of hosting as many people as I can.

My travel hacks 🤣

What I Can Share with Hosts

My time.... with positive vibes people!

Food ...

My travel stories .... hahaha... got too many to share!

Some travel hacks i picked up over the years.
If you are traveling from USA, I can definitely share some savings on your upcoming International trip.

How to plan your next Asia trip…. and get hosted 🤣🤣🤣

Tip 1: I suggest anyone planning an Asia trip to end it with Singapore as your last destination.
And chose your departure late at night (after 10pm) so you can catch HSBC rain vortex prior to your departure.

Tip 2: Always get travel insurance coverage. I cannot emphasize this enough. Especially if you plan on biking in Bali or Vietnam. I see way too many GoFundMe on Bali forums due to traveler’s inexperience.

Tip 3: If you are from USA, there are several financial institutions that offer free international ATM withdrawals.
This will save you loads of transaction fees

Tip 4: if you plan on biking, get international drivers license (specifically for bikes). Don’t invalidate your travel insurance due to technicalities!

Tip 5: If you plan on visiting Singapore, host ME 🤓 or someone from there.
Hangouts when I am traveling. It’s always much easier to host you if we have met up somewhere. Chances are always higher once you become friends or better - family ❤️

Tip 6: Alcohol is bloody expensive (compared to Laos, Vietnam etc) If you need your power juice, get some from duty free (only valid for arrival flights other than Malaysia cities)

Tip 7: Death Penalty if caught with any drugs. Thailand got some crazy snacks laced with drugs so do take note.
For a list of items you cannot bring in, do refer :

Tip 8: I can help you save ATM fees 🤣

Tip 9: If you want me to hack into your bank, find someone else 🤪🤪🤪
