ABOUT ME

Just a normal guy who likes to chill out with new people. I am interested in new cultures, new experiences and new people. Currently based here in exciting Istanbul. Hoping to meet more locals who can guide me in this exciting city, CSers on vacation who are travelling/stopping by in Istanbul. Please send me a message if you are interested in meeting up for a coffee/meal or an adventure anywhere (adhoc basis and may need prearrangement).

PHILOSOPHY

Just chill and be free. Sometimes we feel trapped by the situations we find ourselves in but let's be realistic, you are always in control. You can choose how how you want to respond to the situation, unless of course someone is holding a gun to your head. If your job sucks, look out for new opportunities. If you lack friends, go out there and look for some. It is easy to groan and moan about things and do nothing to change them but tell yourself, can you live in this state. If there is something you can do about it then why are you not acting on it?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted a few friends/strangers before but not so keen on planned hosting due to changing work schedules. I do try to help out for last minute CSers based on availability but I find it hard sometimes because I do not stay near the town area like Taksim/Sultanahmed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been to a few meetups, but I prefer one to one/smaller groups where we can talk about life experiences/our own countries/travel experiences. Fate brings people together but CS private messaging works too.

I used to listen to heavy rock metal bands but now I just listen to whatever's available on the radio and on MTV.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I do not think that there is anything that I can truly quantify as amazing. It is a rather big value to affix to just one thing. But new things/experiences fascinate me. Like the first time I saw big cotton balls of snow falling from the sky and blocking my view of the road and the first time I was pelted by hail on the road and fearing the windscreen might shatter.
