About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Kitesurfing and windsurfing

ABOUT ME

I am full of energy - and am always working to harness it in productive ways. By day I do a lot of analysis and writing, but by night/weekend I am always looking for sporty challenges. My true love is windsurfing - but I'm also trying kitesurfing before I commit to one windsport. Otherwise, I spend my time rock climbing, running, teaching aerobics, socializing, and reading as much as I can.

I'm always up for nights out dancing, and I LOVE karaoke. Just putting that out there in case a any of you can hook me up with a karaoke party.... Also - I don't drink much and I don't do drugs, but I promise I'm still fun ;) Maybe even extra fun.

PHILOSOPHY

I want my energy to contribute to meaningful environmental change. I value connecting with others, giving sincere gifts, and collective leadership. While I'm great at reaching my destinations, I'm actively trying to better enjoy the journeys.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking for couches to sleep on in Squamish.

I'm also planning on hosting in the Fall, once windsurfing season is over. Stay tuned.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My parents are always fantastic, spontaneous hosts to travellers. My Dad in particular regularly approaches long-distance cycle tourists on the TransCanada highway, and offers them a place to stay at their (gorgeous and comfortable) cottage in Manitoba. And then of course my Mom feeds them silly like a good Ukrainian mother. They've met people from all over the world by doing this.

As for me, I've had one couch surfing experience in Kingston so far, and it's been great. A fantastic way to meet locals in a new city. Gone are the old days of just meeting Australians at hostels...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to knit. And I'm an aerobics instructor so I can lead a great workout for you and your friends. I can also provide some environmental policy analysis, but no one ever seems interested in that.
Can you teach me stuff about windsurfing, kiting, or climbing?
