To earn a PhD in Psychology

ABOUT ME

I am 36 and had two strokes five years ago. They left me with many physical challenges, including mobility and speech. I use a walker (frame) to get around short distances and either my electric scooter or manual wheelchair (when I can find someone to push me!) for longer distances. I have not let my disabilities stop me! I've been to China, Italy, Paris, and Northern Ireland for a semester studying abroad.

PHILOSOPHY

"Never give up, never surrender" from the movie Galaxy Quest and "Get busy living or get busy dying" also from a movie, I just can't remember which one.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a couch available in the wilds of Missouri, USA for anyone wanting to visit southwest Missouri, northwest Oklahoma, northern Arkansas or sotheast Kansas, in the lovely Ozarks.

I am an avid reader, like Formula 1 racing, arts and crafts and writing when my muse strikes me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all books, but especially romances. I love a happy ending! My favorite movie is "The Abyss" and I love science fiction TV and movies. I also like crime drama shows on TV.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed the Great Wall of China - one hand on my walker, the other on the stone balustrade and my dad behind me. I was in St. Peter's square Easter Sunday with a front row seat for Mass.

I was a graphic artist before my strokes. I can help edit your trip photos in Photoshop. I can even show you how to Photoshop yourself into another picture so it looks like you were somewhere you only wish you could visit!
