I am a kind and good-natured person. It is very unusual that I do not get along with the people I meet. I have always been a creative person as it runs in my family. I play, teach and compose music, at the piano. For the past few years I have learned to cook so that I can make all of my own meals and be able to afford to be a music teacher/performer/composer full time. I have a particular fondness for cats but I love dogs too, as well as any other pets.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I intend only to use couchsurfing in Toronto for the next several months, December to June. I came up to Toronto to visit my brother who has a recording studio and I have wanted to live here for over 10 years.
I was handed enough work to make a living teaching kids piano as soon as I arrived. I worked for a few months while trying to work on immigration. I assumed a lawyer would be able to help me with the wonderful work opportunities that came my way but after paying them, they advised me to immediately stop all work and confess my unsanctioned work to the government so that there is no risk that they find out about it on their own, further on down the immigration path, which could lead to not being allowed back into the country ever again.
So I am now trying to survive in the city until immigration is done and I can resume my teaching. I have no income except for a small loan from my brother that isn't nearly enough to be paying rent anywhere so I am hoping that I can bounce around on some of the couches that are so graciously offered here in Toronto through couchsurfing and use my brother's loan for basic living expenses.
