About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To bless many people around the world and understand and share God more deeply.

ABOUT ME
I am a polymath. I enjoy many different things. The subjects I have studied at some length are automobile history and basic function, computer history and advanced function, Christian theology (I am a Christian), geography(I want to know much more but I know something), brain science(I know things you won't learn in school that changed my life), and linguistics(I am into neography hard core). I also have a great interest in health and history, but need to know much more about both.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you love and the money will come. Love what you do and the maturity will come. Life is based on love. Love is based on life. Watch Dr. Jim Wilder and Dr. Iain McGuilchrist. You will be blessed! Have a great day,

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people. I want to build community around the world and I see everyone as family. The people I have already surfed with have greatly inspired me. This world is full of so many beautiful people. It increases our faith in others to couch surf. Having grown up with a narrow minded, fearful view of reality, I am now so grateful to be a part of this community!

Interests

I love architecture and thinking about how to design amazing buildings. I am quite a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright. I watched a documentary on him way back in the VHS days. The flying buttresses and spectacular interiors of those European cathedrals always take my breath away.

I love to read, although I have been more into living and writing recently than reading. I like books that speak to the soul that are inspirational. These are the only ones I have time for.

I am currently on a world tour which has taken me to Europe 4 times in the past year. (I am now on trip number 4.)

I blog about deep thoughts. If you want to read my blogs, let me know!

I once draw a photo-realistic picture of my dad's face at age 8 when I lived in Maine. I would love to be able to find it again. I also drew a picture of a cardinal off of a calendar with my father. We both did better than we thought we would.

I have hiked in beautiful places in Michigan, Indiana, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Maine, New Hampshire, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Washington State, Oregon, California, Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota, British Columbia Canada, England, Germany, Austria, Czechia, Romania, Italy, Albania, and soon Sweden!

I have used multiple computer operating systems and enjoy talking about them or using them wherever they are available.

I have been to 20 countries besides my own and enjoy the cultural variety of each. I like the relaxed culture of Albania. I like how things are done efficiently and properly in Germany. I love the goodness and kindness of the Polish people. I like the very safe culture of Sweden.

I am currently studying German, Romanian, Czech, Albanian, Russian, Jordanian Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Esperonto, and Toki Pona. I discover that I have a gift for not mixing languages up. I am now focusing on German to get conversational in that.

I like base 12 and think it needs to be used instead of base 10. It is divisible by 1,2, 3, 4, and 6, whereas 10 is only divisible by 1, 2, and 5. If somebody wants to do calculus in base 12 in their head with me, both integral and differential, let me know!

I was raised Adventist Christian. I am deep into theology, and love to discuss it. I have many views which you may not hear the church present from the pulpit because I am an independent thinker. If you want to know what those views are, ask me.

I have studied brain science for 22 years and have found it to be a source of incredible emotional healing because of principles that I have learned and followed. It involves community, living by intuition instead of logic, (A miracle for someone who used to be on the Autism Spectrum), surrendering all control, (your subconscious knows better than your conscious), and meeting relational needs with relationships rather than other things.

I recently visited the Art Institute of Chicago for the second time since 2001. I am very very inspired by the paintings. I could stand in front of a painting and write pages and pages. They help us get into a deep and relational frame of mind. I believe more art galleries would do much to improve society, along with more couchsurfing of course.

Neography, for those of you who don't know, is the art of creating writing systems. I love doing this since it ties any language to any art design you can think of. It is infinitely expandable and loads of fun. I have made about 150 so far and would love to share some of them with whoever I meet.

I studied the history of automobiles in 8th grade and like the styles of older cars as well as their quality. The Doble Steamer(1922) could go for half a million miles without any repairs and the Studebaker Avanti(1962) could go from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds with only 320 horsepower. We must always remember than newer is not always better.

Music, Movies, and Books

Arabic music. Hebrew music. The Bible. Classical Music. Handel's Messiah. The Conflict of the Ages Series by Ellen White. 20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. The Chronicles of Narnia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been saved from death by an angel many times. I have lived in Hawaii for six years. I have been to every U.S. state except Alaska.(Just about to remedy that.) I have witnessed to homeless in Hawaii while drunk. I once designed 6 writing systems for English in 1 evening. I worked through issues with my parents for over 10 years and survived sane, in fact, much more sane than before. I helped a young lady who was demonized for weeks and also helped a psychotic gentleman who just needed connection. I did two hikes with my dad that were 23.5 miles each one in Maine in the summer of 2015 and one in Wyoming in the summer of 2016.

Teach, Learn, Share

The fundamental principles of how the brain works, and how people can heal from trauma. How to do math in your head. How to use a pc, mac, some linux, beos, qnx, NeXTStep, and a tiny bit of OS/2 Warp as well as computer history. Linguistics, especially alphabet creation. Natural healing remedies, the history of automobiles, and geography.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love linguistics, computer science, and spirituality and brain science linked together. I love to discuss these different topics with my hosts. Or guests. I know enough about the brain and spirituality that I can probably provide significant support with whatever challenge you are facing in your mind or soul. I am helpful around the house when needed. I am good at figuring out issues with any technical device.
