ABOUT ME

I'm a spontaneous and open minded person who loves travelling above pretty much anything else. Luckily so far i've also been able to travel a lot and i always enjoy trying different food and meeting different people. I'm very positive and optimistic and i think i'm pretty easy going, perhaps i'm a bit of a hippy as some of my friends say. That probably refers to my positive attitude and trusting people in general and choosing to be perhaps a bit naive in that. I was born and raised in Amsterdam so i know the city pretty well. When i was 18, after my final exams, i took a gap year and travelled for 7 months in Asia. I lived and studied in Bergen, Norway, for one semester. I try to travel whenever i can and my last yourney was to the US where i visited a friend in Oregon and then traveled to the east coast by bus.

I do not expect to make a big difference in the world, but i hope i can make a small difference to some people and make them happy and have a great time.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived and studied abroad in Bergen, Norway, for one semester during my study in neuropsychology. And while making some trips with friends i couchsurfed for the first time. Since then i've couchsurfed while travelling in the US and i love how you meet local people who are generally very cool and interesting and also know a lot about the area and what's going on.

Intereses

I love making things with my hands, it's very relaxing. Sometimes i make my own clothes. I also love dancing and have followed african and belly dancing classes for years now. It doesn't mean that i'm good at it, but i truly enjoy it nonetheless. I'm not a bad cook and i like having dinners with friends. Although i enjoy living in a city and the little shops, flea markets and cafees and liveliness that go with it, i also enjoy getting away and being totally unreachable and quiet while hiking or cross country skiing and making tracks in the mountains. I love learning new languages and try to learn at least some basic sentences wherever i go. Oh, and lately i became slightly addicted to Korean drama series hehe!
