I've lived out of a backpack for months at a time. It's nothing new, but I much prefer a bed and a dresser if it's going to be of any length.

I've fought monkeys in Malaysia while hiking over 300 steps (that which were all numbered) to a temple of some sort of religious intent.
I've stomped around Bali, I'd missed a landing narrowly because of an earthquake in Indonesia (airport was destroyed, diverted to Silo Indonesia) as we were a couple of minutes from landing. Hey! A delayed flight can save a few lives.
