ABOUT ME
Hey, I'm an adventure enthusiast from Munich (Germany). I love to do sports, like slacklining, climbing, BASE jumping and many more. Especially (the lesser known) highlining has been a big part of my life in the last years.
I also like to be spontaneous... most of the time things are much more exciting, when you didn't expect them to happen.
Personally I'd consider myself an open-minded, laid-back person; it definitely takes some effort to take my inner-peace away... I always try to look on the positive side of things, although I also try to stay realistic and accept the consequences of my actions. I have a (arguably) good sense of humor and like to smile.
PHILOSOPHY
stay positive, you can't change things, which have already happened
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is the best way of traveling. It's not about seeing all the tourist sights, it's about getting to know different people and lifestyles
Interests
I like travelling, meeting (new) people and doing sports (slacklining, climbing, BASE jumping, longboarding). I'm also a big music fan, although I rather enjoy music beyond the mainstream.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in Australia I started travelling with another student, that I met over there. We wanted to see Fraser Island (the biggest sand island in the world) but we didn't want to pay for a tour. So we decided to take the ferry and hike on the island by ourselves... it's a huge island. so after maybe 3 hours of hiking with heavy backpacks we reached a camp in the middle of the island. After we ate, we went to the beautiful Lake McKenzie and enjoyed the full moon directly over the lake with some rum :). We were the only people there and decided to sleep in our hammocks next to the lake... in the morning there was some fog over the lake and the sun slowly started to rise over the crystal clear water. It wasn't the warmest night I've ever had, but it was a great experience and I prefered it so much over a touristy tour. The fact that we had to work for it (by doing the exhausting hike) was even more rewarding in the end.
I was working for about 2 1/2 months in a small town in the north of Peru. I just started learning Spanish but made good progress. The town didn't have a lot to offer and my work was pretty boring, but I enjoyed it a lot. I was living with Peruvians and got an insight to another culture and also had the privilege of learning another language. We went to eat a lot of delicious Peruvian food, we organised some small trips or went out together and we had such a great time. When I was back in Lima for a few days I was almost disappointed, because the culture was so western again and I was happy, that I had been living in that rather boring smaller town in the north.
Again in Australia I was travelling alone and hitchhiking. I arrived in a small town which didn't offer a lot of things to do for a tourist. In the evening I decided to walk on the maybe 100m high rock in the middle of the town to sleep up there. When I arrived - totally exhausted from walking all the steps with my backpack - I met a group of Italians and French. They invited me to have a drink with them and we had a nice evening. It was much more exciting than my initial plan to just sleep up there. The next they I joined the three Italians and they even drove to the city where I had to catch a flight two days later. I really liked how they just invited me and that they were totally friendly and open to a stranger.
So, those were some examples of what I like about travelling. It's less about seeing as much as possible but about adventures, experiences and friendship.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could definitely teach you (or at least introduce you) to slacklining. It's a nice sport, that keeps you in shape, you have to concentrate, improve your balance and it has a great community.
