ABOUT ME

I am a post-grad student in Vancouver. I'm from New Zealand, and there are a lot of glaciers in New Zealand and in Canada, but I am studying the ones on India. Go figure! I am leftie, greenie vegetarian but you probably don't know that by looking at me. I think I'm quite a good house guest - quiet and clean, at least!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done this before. I have a friend in Sydney who has done a bit of surfing and hosting, and she is so into it that I was inspired to join. I love the philosophy - global community - and it seems pretty handy too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done plenty on unofficial couch surfing. I've moved around NZ a lot and many a couch has been my doss for a night or two. And my couches have hosted a few dossers!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am loving Cormac McCarthy at the moment. John Steinbeck's my all time favorite. Hemingway. Old time rock and blues music, folk rock, anything with a good melody and substantial lyrics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived for five weeks in a glacial valley and have
kayaked the largest commercially rafted waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere!
