我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I believe travelling is not about visiting cities, and running from one to another to see as much as possible within limited time. To me travelling is about having a break, is about a moment in which I embrace what's around me without thinking about the past or the future too much. But most of all travelling is about meeting people, living their lives for a moment, perhaps influencing their lives, making their day special. You won't get that in hotels, you won't get that for money, you can only get it for a smile. This is what makes couch surfing for me and this is why I like to be a part of this community.

兴趣

I've done fair bit of motocross and snowboarding in the past (when back in Poland up until last year) but since I ended up in the flattest country on Earth (God save the Queen) haha I haven't done this recently as much as I wish. I filled up that hole in my spare time quite quickly with sports like hiking, trail running, swimming, cycling or sailing. It seems like I am quite sporty person but on the flip side of that I like my work as an engineer in automotive industry, and have recently discovered I find working on my little projects with Raspberry Pi quite enjoyable.

Hitch-hiked more than 3000 km in 2 weeks from Poland to Greece and back - awesome trip.
Cycle-touring form Madrid to Bilbao
Run 10 Peaks Brecon Beacons - a 91 km foot race in the uk.
Run 10 Peaks The Lakes - a 73 km foot race in the UK.
Attempted 125km Transgrancanaria run, had to retire after 70 km due to knee injury.
Worked on some of the most exciting automotive projects with McLaren, Jaguar Land-Rover and other British automakers.
