About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to be myself! to live in peace... and to learn to build eco-houses
ABOUT ME
I love to dance and sing and talk and listen and offer my energies to mother earth and the great mystery of it all. I'm currently hugely engaged in watching the developments in the Arab world, wondering what will happen to them/us all, where we are going with this petrol addiction, the violence, the yearning for freedom and love we all have... I like to sleep and rest and dream (especially on a nice safe couch).
PHILOSOPHY
Can't sum it up in words really but something like 'Another world is possible,' THIS world is possible, for the future generations: these times we are in, knowing we may be on the verge of extinction, such pain, such fear, but such open-hearted love and community too. We are the ones we've been waiting for...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm quite new to this! Hope to participate more... as host and as guest
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been nomadic for the last few years and am now trying to stay a bit stiller. But my translation work and some conference work I do still take me around on lots of trips, which I like to expand in little ways (so couch-surfing seems a logical way to do that). I've often done this informally / by word of mouth but only a few times through the website. I've hitchhiked a lot and generally like meeting and connecting with strangers, so I hope to get more drawn into this great great exchange of hospitality and humanity here!

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list!
Lately a lot of Afrobeat, always lots of jazz and african blues, Malian stuff, but blah blah so much more too. Neurotic US anti-folk like Jeffrey Lewis, Colombian cumbia, Palestinian hip-hop...
Read lots of Arabic fiction for work, but reach out for lots of other stuff too. Just discovered Jonathon Franzen.
