Although I haven´t any experience in couch-surfing I think it is a great possibility to find a place to stay while travelling & to get in touch with amazing people.
I am looking forward to my first couch-surfing experience be it sharing my home or finding a place to stay. (:

To stand on your own feed in a foreign country would be just a great life experience. You will get independent, build relationships and friendships & I am sure you will benefit from this the rest of your life.
