ABOUT ME

I'm a guy who has spent more time on his bike than on his couch, probably. I love riding - it's my profession, my recreation, and my mediation.

I've spent a bunch of time visiting Canada, now visiting more and more of the U.S. and overseas. The world is a beautiful place.

I'm pretty outdoorsey - the whole beard, plaid, hiking, biking, fire-starting stuff.

And on the other hand, I'm pretty intellectual. I read a lot and like to have real discussions with people. I'm not a great small-talker.

And finally, I'm always cooking or baking something. I love good food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies - smart movies, thoughtful movies, exciting, suspenseful, but not gory.
Music - all kinds from metal, to gansta rap to country to dance to rock and or roll to folk - if it's got soul and it's real, I like.
Books - I'll read anything if it catches my interest. Encyclopedias, fiction, essays, speeches, biographies, academic writing.
