ABOUT ME

I do enjoy traveling and seeing new sites and meeting new people. I am a caring person who has two grown children. I am retired from the education system as well as I live on the family farm. I raise mainly peaches (tree fruit), walnuts, as well as in the past having raised hogs and cattle. I enjoy the rural country life. I am interested in more travel as time permits, but through CS, I know that my horizons can be broadened by those I might host. I look forward to a rich experience.

PHILOSOPHY

Early in my life a love and faith in a loving God was instilled in me. I live my life with him in control and I am open to meeting those whom he will place in my path to love through me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always been interested in different peoples and cultures. What better way to share life than to have them as guests in my home?

Interests

I do enjoy working in education. I like to serve and help others when possible.I like to be creative. As I've grown up, I'm not afraid of work. I do enjoy plants and they have been an interest as well as a vocation for me through the years. I do love to cook and I am interested in learning new dishes from those of other lands/cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy Christian music and good books that keep me engaged. I enjoy going to the movies, but it is not often. It is nice to experience them on the big screen, but Netflix is my usual medium.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know that I will benefit greatly from learning different cultures from guests. I hope that in some way, I will be able to share life interests and experiences with those who visit.
