This is our first trip to Europe and we are excited to meet new people and experience the beauty of different cultures with the help of local people. So much to see, so much to do. We need your help!!

ABOUT ME

We are good friends who love to travel together and this time, we're coming to Europe! We would love to meet people in the cities we're traveling to and share about our lives, drink a glass of wine/beer together, and enjoy each other's company. We are easy-going, fun-loving, spontaneous, and adaptable women.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Given current limitations in our living situations, we have been unable to host couchsurfers in the past. But, hopefully, that will change in the near future!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We stayed with a lovely woman in Lima, Peru the evening we arrived. She was gracious, generous, and helpful. We spent a couple of hours just talking and sharing about our life experiences. We felt very blessed to meet her and be welcomed in her home.

We love experiencing what the locals experience when we're traveling to new cities. Small markets, family-run restaurants, local pubs, live music. We enjoy interacting with people and building new friendships. We love getting outdoors and appreciate the beauty of the mountains, ocean, and rolling hills. We enjoy swimming, biking and hiking, love to try new foods and attempt to speak different languages!! We're also pretty big bargain shoppers, love thrift store shopping, making something out of nothing and trying to be as "green" as possible.

Music, then movies, then books. Just recently discovered Bon Iver. Going to see Coldplay for the 3rd time in July.

Both of us are in the field of providing therapeutic services to others. One of us is a speech therapist who has worked with children with autism for many years and is currently working with the under-served, minority population. And the other has just graduated with a degree in marriage-family therapy who has had experience doing art/play therapy with school-aged children. We love to talk about relationships and the dynamics (functional and dysfunctional!!) that shape them. We also love to talk about systemic change and what is required for people to see transformation in their lives and communities.

I know we would love to learn how to cook regional specialties and wouldn't mind sharing a few recipes ourselves! We can make some amazing sushi and fish tacos!!

And if you happen to have an extra guitar, piano, or drum laying around, we could have a nice little jam session!!
