ABOUT ME

Welcome to my profile :-)

I am Wieger Bon, born and raised in Amsterdam. I love open minds and different cultures and that is probably the reason why I will never leave this town for an other place in The Netherlands.

I think it is obvious that I love vacations and traveling. To bad I only got 25 days a year for this purpose (excl. weekends).

My favorite vacation is winter sports, I have got my own snowboard gear and I have to use it for at least one week a year.

In summer I try to catch a few festivals with friends to have great time and check out our favorite bands.
For 2012 Roskilde is in our wishlist.

The remaining days off are always nice for city trips..
In 2011 I visted:
- Barcelona
- Berlin
- Cologne
- London
And this december I am planning to go to Pripyat (Chernobyl).

In my daily life I work as a system administrator maintaining unix servers, sometimes I volunteer for small venues as light technician, I try to sport 3 times a week (running and/or climbing).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted a few people, surfed once.
On regular basis I show up on weekly meets in Amsterdam.

And I really like the people involving :-)

Intereses

Too much... eeh no... enough :-) Kind of interested in everything.. even right wing politics (you have to know your their knowledge to conquer them).

But let's make a list..

-Everything I don't know anything about yet
-Snowboarding, Cycling, Walking, Running, Climbing, Sporting...
-Tv series, really much music (from classical to all kinds of electronics incl hardcore and from the most extreme dirty black metal to pop music), reading books (even with my dyslexia).
-Friends, people who want to be friends, people in general, a bit of psychology.
-Bankhangen (translated in English, Hanging couch which means relaxing, chilling on a couch)

Música, películas y libros

Movies: mostly TV series, I love Doctor Who (incl. spin offs), CSI, Twin Peaks, True Blood, Dexter, etc.

Music: Almost everything, from american cabaret (The Dresden dolls, Amanda Palmer) till hardcore punk, from Folk metal till industrial and techno and between all of this the good 80's, dark wave, cyber gothic and metal.

Books: I am not a big reader (got dyslexia) but I like the way Stieg Larsson was writing and and the moment I am busy with part 2 of his Millenium trilogy.
