About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun, meet new people and enjoy life

ABOUT ME

I am a easy-going, fun loving guy with a keen sense of adventure: whether that's exploring a South East Asian jungle, or checking out the funky back streets of Melbourne or quite simply getting caught up in my own imagination...I just love to explore, think, have fun, and meet new people.

Melbourne is my hometown, and my latest exciting adventure is starting a new job in Sydney. I've only been in Sydney a short while, but I already love this place!

PHILOSOPHY

Personal philosophy...hmm...for the moment I'll say that I'm trying to be a better person and make more of a contribution to society. I struggle to be true to my personal philosophy. For instance, at times I am torn by certain emotions, and become disheartened, but after some time, I usually get back on the horse and keep trying...what's the alternative?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching, thinking about and discussing cinema. Most people describe me as an art house movie fan. But I think it's better to describe me as someone that enjoys movies that make me ponder about life or interesting concepts.

I have watched almost every movie from the following directors: Yasuiru Ozu, Woody Allen, Bergman, Fellini, Hirokazu Kore-eda, and Wong Kar Wai

Despite my supposed arthouse tendencies, I also enjoy well-made Hollywood-type movies. For example, Fight Club, The Matrix, Shaun of the Dead, Gattica, Star Wars (original series that is!), etc.

I don't listen to music as much as I used to...same for books but I do enjoy most books by Haruki Murakami

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a very difficult question to answer as there are so many experiences which I have thought are 'amazing', though I constantly re-evaluate these experiences and in time what is 'amazing' may simply become 'normal' or even 'so so'. For example, I thought the first time I bought myself a train ticket in Japan was amazing, but now it's nothing special.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Germany, Japan, Thailand, United States
