ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jiaying but you can just call me JY or anything that suits your preference because my name had been constantly changing when I went Oslo for exchange. Haha!

I love sports, food and also love to try anything new that I've never tried before! (I tried eating fried silkworm and crickets in Thailand, sounds gross but it really tasted not bad!) I'm outgoing and chatty and have always been interested to know people of different countries and different cultures! It's always nice and interesting to know people around the world, no? :)

I met too many amazing people during my travel in Europe so now that I'm back in Singapore, I'm really more than willing to bring you around Singapore too!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Introduced by my brother and I thought it's really an interesting platform to connect people all around the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Initially, I was very reluctant to couchsurf because it just sounds so dangerous!! But after experiencing it, it was definitely an AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

I travelled some parts of Europe during my exchange and met amazing people along the way! I did couchsurfing with 3 hosts within one week and it was probably one of the most fulfilling and fruitful part of my exchange experience! I learned so much more from my hosts than to travel around alone with the help of Tripadvisor! Haha! After all my couchsurfing experiences (not many though), I realised how much more couchsurfing can offer rather than just about free accommodation. FRIENDS. CULTURE. KNOWLEDGE.

Seriously, you have to experience it for yourself to understand it! :D

Algo increíble que he hecho

Nothing too amazing but being on my own for the exchange programme is a great leap for me to be away from my family and be independent. And of course, to have the courage to try couchsurfing.
