ABOUT ME

I went to college in Arkansas and worked in Colorado in the summers leading rock climbing and backpacking trips. This last year I wanted to start traveling more...Denver, Portland, Seatle, San Deago, Los Angeles, Nashville, Dallas, Washington D.C., Rwanda Africa, back to Los Angeles, Memphis, New York City...and currently backpacking around Europe.

I grew up in a big family with 4 brothers. I am the youngest. I love sports...futbol, rockclimbing, biking, frisbee, and more. I love photography but don´t take it as serious as some people do. I love meeting new people, drinking beer, and coffee...3 things you can find anywhere (so far).

I want to hike the Smokey Mountains from North Carolina to New York. I want to bike from Virginia to Portland. I want to move to Costa Rica and backpack for 2 months. I want to travel through Asia and visit friends all over the world.

I really just want to meet people all over the world and spend the rest of my life trying to stay in touch with them...and enjoying every minute of it.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat people like real people and try to have a good time. Tell your friends how much they mean to you because you can´t take for granite the good times. Always be learning and trying to improve yourself and your surrounding.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Everyone I have met who has eather hosted or surfed loved it...I can´t wait to be part of the experience. It sounds like something I already do through friends of friends, but this has a little bigger network (i.e. the world).

Music, Movies, and Books

Weepies, Cranbaries and anything from the 90's. Bush was my first big concert and I still think he was great. Radio head live was freak´n amazing, while Sigur Ros live at Red Rocks in Denver was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Appleseed Cast is some of the best live melodic rock I have ever seen while Mates of State was one of the best 2 person bands I ever saw in a tinny little club my first year of college in Arkansas. I play drums so I tend to hear the melody before I hear the words, but words make a song.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don´t think I have done anything huge or amazing, but I have seen some great things. My nefew almost started walking while I was visiting my brothers family a while ago and that beats any Picasso painting or tall building anywhere. I love people being people. Not being able to understand a language but listening to 2 or 3 people talk about something that really means something to them weather it is the outcome of a futbol game or rules to a card game. People are fun to watch, study, and try to emulate.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, Learn, Share....this ones different. I teach rock climbing, and lead backpacking trips from time to time. I love to expose people to great experiences. When I show people around my city or a place I just got to know it`s always about experience. People make the place...if you look for good people, you`ll typically find a good place. While I travel I love local bike shops because I love bikes. While I don´t build my own bike, I can teach you how to be friendly with bike people to ask anything you might need That´s what I can share...my perspective on life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a story teller and I love to share ideas and insight into fun things going on in the city. Now a days they tend to revolve around food and drink but there's always something new to find.
