ABOUT ME

I am a photographer based in Osaka, Japan. 
Growing up in Europe and living in Asia for a long time, I tend to make every place I go my home. Everywhere you go, you can find something magical which makes the place special.

When traveling I like looking out of the window and enjoy the scenery and impressions, which I did very much when I was working for the railways in Europe. Even if you use the same path hundreds of time, there will always be something slightly different.

I enjoy slow traveling and getting to know about local places and local vibes more than going to super famous sightseeing spots.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a spare room for surfers available.
While I host for most of the time, sometimes I also enjoy surfing.

I can give you advises about transportation and sightseeing spots. If my work time allows it, I will show you around town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was told about couchsurfing after moving from Japan to Germany by my roommate in the university dormitory. Living in a dormitory I was not able to host for the first time, but I could host after I got my own flat and it was a wonderful experience to be able to share thoughts with people from all over the world. I made some of my best and precious friendships through couchsurfing.

While I also appreciate guests staying for one night, I would be happy about guests staying three nights or longer, so we have a little time to get to know each other and share our couchsurfing and live stories.

兴趣

I love photography, traveling, reading books, playing games (especially board games), watching movies and sleeping.

音乐、电影和书籍

Books: Depending on the mood, but generally I am more into Scifi, Fantasy and classic literature.
I enjoy works of Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Philip K. Dick, Douglas Adams, Rilke, Mijazawa Kenji, Natsume Soseki.

Music:
Even more depending on my mood switching between metal, classic, folk, pop. rocks, electro and jazz. I don’t listen to Rap or RnB that much, still there are some Rap songs I can enjoy.
Some of my favorite artists/composers are: Schandmaul, Nightwish, Gustav Holst, Yann Thiersen, Secret Garden, Loreena McKennitt, Tori Amos, Funny van Dannen and Himekami.

Movies:
Hard to decide on a all time favorite, but I love Wim Wenders „Der Himmel über Berlin“ (Wings of Desire) and works of Anime directors Kon Satoshi and Shinkai Makoto. I like Roberto Benigni and Robin Williams. And I need to watch Lebowski at least once a year.
