About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world, make global friends, be happy and live life to the full

ABOUT ME

We are a couple from the North of England and have been together over 16years. Married for 4. Neil 38 originally from Liverpool, the home of the Beatles and Kerry 40 from Sheffield, the home of erm.... knives and forks oh and the Arctic Monkeys band!!!
We gave up our jobs, to travel the world indefinately hoping to learn new things along the way and meet great people.
Our trip lasted 2 and a half years, we have been around South America, starting in Brazil then on to Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. We then moved on to Central America Via a 5 night boat trip through the San Blass Islands. We then travelled onto Cuba before heading to the states and visited Florida, New York, Chicago, Colorado, Vegas, LA and San Francisco. After a few days in Fiji we hopped over to New Zealand and after spending 8 months there we took a short trip to Australia. From there we travelled to Thailand, Laos and India and our last country before England was Cyprus.
We are socialable, friendly people who enjoy meeting new people from around the world. Already we have made lots of good friends from our travels and couch surfing and seek to find more.
Since returning home we have settled (for a while at least!) and are now a family if 5! Although grounded at the moment except holidays here and there alongside trips in our camper Van, we don't give up on the hope of packing all 3 kids up and setting off again!

PHILOSOPHY

Its now or never.
Dont leave things too late and end up regretting it.
Live the dream.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have stayed with a few hosts around the world and have had all very positive experiences. It is amazing how trusting, warm and welcoming people in this world are. Couch surfing is a great way to meet other like minded people, each with their own stories to tell. We can't wait for the time to come when we can host others....due to our expanding family, we're unable to host at the moment but can offer help and advice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have stayed with a few people now via couch surfing and from the experiences so far we have found it to be a great way of meeting others and finding out interesting things about a new place that aren't always mentioned in the guide books! We are not rich by any means and feel not only will this help us to carry on travelling financially but it will also help to build our knowledge and experience of the countries in which we visit, whilst hopefully meeting life long friends along the way.

Interests

We enjoy travelling...obviously! Socialising, sharing stories and experiences with others, mountains, trekking, cooking, a love of red wine, surfing and Thai massages (we have both completed a diploma in traditional Thai massage!)
