COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 1993 I arrived in Moscow without any pre-planning and none of my usual info-gathering techniques were working: everyone only seemed to speak Russian; even my map was in Russian. A university professor helped me find the Intourist office then gave me a couch for the night. Don't know what I'd have done without her.
