Hola!

Somos Mariam y Wouter de Bélgica. Desde el primero de Mayo '24, estamos viajando en bici con nuestro hijo Rafael (que tiene casi 2 años).

Arrancamos el viaje desde casa nuestra en Gante, y la meta de este viaje es Lisboa.

Mariam es panadera, trabajaba en panaderías 'masa madre'.

Yo soy carpintero y mecánico de bicis.

Ambos vegetarianos, con un gran amor y preocupación por la naturaleza. La idea de este viaje es de estar juntos en familia y tener experiencias enriquecedoras, sin dañar a la planeta.

ABOUT ME

I am Wouter Cocquyt, 31 years old. After I finished secondary school I took a gap-year to cycle to Malaysia. After I got back I started studying photography.

After 1.5 year I stopped it, because I realized it's much more interesting to travel and to actually photograph instead of being in a studio. So I left again, this time to cycle to South Africa in about 15 months time.

Then my last trip took me to South and Central America for about 2.5 years.

I speak Dutch, French, English and Spanish.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

First big trip with a friend in the summer of 2010 kickstarted it all: Cycling to Rome and back, no plane, no train, just freedom!

As a bike mechanic, I like to fix bikes during my trip, or teach people how to do it.

I really enjoy speaking some words of many foreign languages, so you will have to teach me some of yours!
