About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Preparing a new mission (secret shhhhhhhh).
ABOUT ME
I'm a portrait and landscape photographer: I love experimenting with light in portraiture.
I created WWW.VAGABONDBOND.COM, which is a collective artistic group of wanderers: musicians, artists, and photographers from around the world.
I'm a frequent photoblogger on WWW.WRECKLESSGIRL.COM.
I'm also a poet, which is more of an outlet for creativity when I'm not highly involved in photography. I dabble in blog design for photographers, artists, and travelers. I'm single and extremely content with my status, which allows me to travel without any attachments (I know it sounds ridiculous, but the love of my life is my darling cat! hehe)! I crave adventure and appreciate and adapt to the unexpected turns life takes to stir things up a bit.
I thrive when I'm dreaming and traveling.
Silly, loving, spiritual, gifted, funny, geeky, artsy, intuitive, quiet, sweet, lively, "laughy," creative, photographer, challenging, always changing. I like big hair, bright bulky necklaces, pointy shoes, my macbook, and taking photographs. Road trips are the BEST (I practically lived in my car for one year and drove all over the country). I cannot retell a joke to save my life.
I like to believe that there is the biggest little spark waiting to ignite in most people - it just takes the right person to bring it out. I believe there is also much good in some people and a some good in everyone.
I play piano and a little guitar and now, thanks to another couch surfer couple, ukulele. Honesty is a paramount factor in my life; I am attracted to those who live their truth and thrive in honest friendships. idleness is the enemy of the mind.
I fully believe in the power of change.
I love God so, so much.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live as truthfully as possible, as transparently as I can possibly can be. I'm a Gentle-spirited (though I can be sassy!); the more I give, the more I feel I'm getting.
"Practice new things - it's hard to write an interesting life story when your fingers keep typing the same four letters."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted a handful of times in Oregon and in California where I had homes. My experience so far has been amazing! I would love to get more involved in this community. Since I started blog designing, I've been increasingly inspired to help other travelers by offering basic blog design services to them so they can tastefully document their travel experiences in a clean, classy environment. If you're interested, please email me and I'd be happy to set you up with a travel blog design. (www.wrecklesselements.com)
I originally became interested in the couchsurfing community while i was planning a lengthy road trip across the USA. Unfortunately, I endured a few disasters the summer of my trip, so I wasn't able to make it all the way across. I'm so grateful that I was able to find this community because now I'm an active member, preparing for another great adventure (to italy, where i'm currently staying). Now that I'm here, I'm excited to spend the next year or two exploring europe and beyond.
I've hosted one out-of-country CS'er so far and had an amazing time! i would love to host more of them! I also love my domestic surfers, even the ones that come from my own state--each town and community is so diverse, I love to hear about places near and far.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a handful of times in oregon and in california where I had homes. My experience so far has been amazing! honestly, I love the hosting aspect more ... but that's what I've done most of.
I have been a surfer and hosted about the same amount of times. Mike amanuel (in oceanside, california) has *especially* inspired me to open my home up to surfers and also to explore the world around me and the world afar off.
