About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enrich

ABOUT ME

I relish in learning about other's stories and experiences!
I enjoy exploring, and occasionally diverting from my route to see where a random path leads.
I appreciate the arts; live music, contemporary art, performing arts, plays, symphony orchestras . . .
I enjoy home cooked meals, trying out new foods.

PHILOSOPHY

Desiderata by Max Ehrmann

"one of the many examples in the history of science showed that the prepared mind can see the road to progress where others see only a fortuitous event"

Life is long, do what you want!

What is meant to happen, will.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting when the opportunity to do so safely is presented.
I started by attending CS meetings and activities, then hosting events in an effort to activate the Tulsa CS group (star parties, trivia nights, potlucks, museum outings, river float trips).
Although it has been some time since I have organized an activity I am always up for meeting.

Surfed with and hosted new friends!

Waking up on the train and watching the sun rise as it rode along the river
Growing herbs on my windowsill

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:

- looking at the positive in a situation

- that much can be appreciated by learning about the history of a city

- Spanish words and phrases

Wants to learn:

- to read music
- how to say hello, good morning, good afternoon and good night and thank you in many languages
- how to navigate and get oriented only using a map and the cardinal directions and other survival skills
- other people's stories
- something I didn't know before

Share:

- eat healthy (most of the time)
- adventures, traveling
- walking tours
- good times
- and delicious food :)

Something I do want to watch is an animal giving birth live. A lion would be nice.
