ABOUT ME
I am, hmmm, lively and open-minded, cosmopolitan, hope to become wise with the passing of years:-) I'm an agnostic, in more than one way. German is my ratio, Egyptian my heart, and Persian my nose...
PHILOSOPHY
Travel at least as many countries as you have years...almost there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment, I am travelling around due to my job all the time, so unfortunately I cannot host. In the past, I had numerous guests in our shared flat.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Started a couple of years ago, when I was visiting Israel over Chrismas break, and stayed with four guys in Jerusalem, eye-opening!!
Interests
I am an extensive traveller and an avid reader, fan of the Middle East, admirer of art, architecture, literature and nature. I enjoy drinks and cigarettes as much as political discussions and lectures. I love food...the preparation and the consumption.
I like photographing, climbing and snorkling.

Music, Movies, and Books
My cinematographic taste? Movies from Wes Anderson, Woody Allen, Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino and Fatih Akin. Also love Garden State, Sideways, Seven, Lemony Snicket, The Big Lebowski, Lost in Translation and Star Wars IV-VI.
Soundtrack of my life: somewhere between Amy McDonald and ZZ Top, from Classic to Heavy Metal...centre of gravity near CCR and Cohen.
To name a few authors and books worth reading: Milan Kundera, Nick Hornby, "Brave Nee World", Zadie Smith, Tolkien, "Die Vermessung der Welt", "Lord of the flies", Alan Moore, T.C. Boyle, Naguib Mahfouz, Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, "To kill a mockingbird", George Orwell, Heinrich Böll, "Persepolis", Schiller, "The Hitchhiker"...ahh crap, this list could go on forever.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Palace of Cehel Sotun (40 pillars) in Esfahan, Iran, at 7 o'clock in the morning, when the before-mentioned pillars reflect in the pool in front of the palace and all the world could fall apart and you would't notice, because you are in safe haven, one of the few pockets in space, absolute tranquility protecting you...
