I grew up in Jakarta and have just moved to Minneapolis for a job managing grants in Asia. I love to travel and meet people. I've had good experiences with couch surfing and love the concept. I'm a frequent traveler and have learned to enjoy the unexpected as well as the deeper connection to a place that you can only have through meeting people there.

Traveled for work to conflict/security risk areas including Kabul and Islamabad. Everything turned out fine, but in retrospect I should have asked more questions about safety before I went!
