ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in West Virginia, USA, I and have continued to live here through my university education. I recently graduated with my master's degree in speech pathology.

My passion is traveling! My first trip abroad was in the summer of 2004 when I spent five weeks in Germany visiting my family's former exchange student. At that point, I became addicted.

Two years later I backpacked with a friend through eight countries in Europe for 3 1/2 weeks. In May of 2007 I randomly traveled back to Germany and stayed with my friend and did a little traveling of my own through Eastern Germany for 3 weeks. During my winter break in January 08 I went back to Germany to visit my friend and ended up also backpacking to Switzerland and Austria. In December 2008 through January 2009, I made my first trip to the United Kingdom. I got a great tour of England and spent Christmas in Germany.

My latest trip was to Colombia with my friend who is from there. We spent three weeks in Cali and Bucaramanga.

I love trying new (vegetarian) foods :)

I'm just getting started with Couch Surfing and have had one couch surfing experience. I have friends who've had really good luck with it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My recent amazing thing was going to Chicamocha National Park in Santander, Colombia. The mountains were breathtaking and the views were out of this world. If you're going to Colombia, you can't miss this place!

One of the most beautiful places I visited was Granada Spain. The view from the Alhambra was amazing with a view of white-washed houses on a mountainside that are hundreds of years old!

Also, I really liked Bruges Belgium. This was my favorite city of a backpacking tour across Europe. Must see! Cobblestone streets, churches, canals, views over the entire city! And wonderful, fabulous, indescribable crepes.
