About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To cirlce the globe in pursuit of perspective.

ABOUT ME

I am the kind of guy who thinks it's basically impossible to accurately capture your entire character in one of these paragraphs. Instead of saying the usual "I'm nice, fun, respectful, and open-minded" (which I am! Promise!) I'll give you some fun facts about me.

I will give up family secrets in exchange for a glass of good Hefeweizen. Or oatmeal cookies.

I never lie. Also, I'm 12 feet tall.

I kept a pet butterfly when I was young. I named it George Washington. I was a weird kid.

I can make a mean curry.

I actually made it through all of James Joyce's "Ulysses". Even crazy Chapter 13.

I understood almost none of James Joyce's "Ulysses". Especially crazy Chapter 13.

I look reaaaaaally stupid when I try and throw something left-handed.

I love naturalist study. Darwin is my personal hero.

I enjoy the company of others no matter their culture or walk of life.

There's lots else about me that's interesting (and LOTS more that's boring), so if you're curious, please ask!

PHILOSOPHY

Even tougher. Be kind, be true, do what makes you happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to host after I return from my trip. Reciprocity makes the world go 'round.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a bit recently in Berlin... it was fantastic.

Interests

Boy, that's a tough one. There's so many...

A good story (be it written word or motion picture), a good time, a good beer and good company. All that, plus maybe some nice weather, and your life is complete.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many, there is no way I can easily answer this one. I work in the film industry back in Los Angeles, so my love of movies and cinema is way too vast to capture in just a few titles. I was a literature major in college, so in terms of books it's much the same story.

As for music--well, I love everything from Creedance to Mozart, Green Day to the Beastie Boys. If it makes you want to move, I like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once helped a cow give birth. Holy crap it looked like it hurt.
