ABOUT ME

My full name is Alexandra, but I almost always go by Alex. I'm currently a student at Washington & Jefferson College, a tiny liberal arts school just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'm studying abroad this fall in Cologne, Germany, and I'd like to see as much of Europe as I can. After all, when's the next time I'll get the chance to travel around the continent?

I'm obsessed with all things Greek; as a kid, I read all of the myths, and once I got old enough, I delved into the works of Ovid, Sophocles, Aristophanes, etc, etc. Now I can't wait to see the culture for myself, first hand!

Other than Greece, I love Europe in general. The mindset and culture are just so different from those in America...in a completely good way!

MUSE
-My love for the rock group Muse is pretty intense. I have about 12 different bootlegs (ranging from shows in Helsinki to Minneapolis to Santiago) that I listen to pretty regularly, and my obsession has reached the level that I can identify each bootleg by any of its tracks. I'm seeing the band in Cologne this fall, and I don't think I've ever been more excited for a single day.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

During my previous trip to Germany, I hiked up the mountain that Schloss Neuschwanstein is on and then continued up the trail even higher to look down on the castle. To say that the view was awe-inspiring does not even begin to cover it.

I can partially pop my shoulders out of their sockets (if I ever surf on your couch, you will see. And you'll either thing it's the coolest or most most disgusting thing you've ever seen/heard.)

I'm a nerd. When it comes to superheroes, Buffy, movies, and mythology, you can pretty much count on me knowing the most random of things.

And I make some pretty kick-ass pancakes. :)
