Hi,

My name is Xavier and I'm a 24 year old Belgian guy, the Flemish part. So my motherlanguage is Dutch. In addition to that, I can speak English and French. I can understand and speak a little bit German. I know some basics of Spanish.

I graduated as an industrial engineer and I studied half a year to be a teacher in mathematics and physics. I figured out that I was a natural teacher and I liked it (so the students did) but the whole picture didn't fit for me, I quit and now I'm travelling around.

I'm going to travel to Germany for the moment, and I'm searching for hosts! :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm working as a volunteer for plenty of different people and I'm doing plenty of different stuff as work. :D

*** I'm travelling since February 28, 2015 ***

I was for 2 weeks in the mountains in France to help a family doing some household, breaking down a garage, building a chicken coop, setting up yurts, building a wall, building a new garage (only the beginning), ...

Then I went more to the south of France where I worked in a B&B for about 2 months. First we did construction in the basement to build a Roman bar, a chimney, a sauna, ... (Hard work! But fun!) Me and my host finished the project and after that I worked to keep the clients happy in the B&B. I cleaned, did the laundry, made the beds, did check-ins and so on, ... I also did some computerwork for him, I translated his B&B website in Dutch and English, and did some Excel for him. Besides all that, I watched his house for 2 weeks because he went on vacation. The first week he gave me free! The second week I did some check-ins and did everything to give the clients what they needed.

After all that, I went to Longo Maï, a collective community, for one month. A big farm where I did lot's of different stuff. I built a garagedoor, I worked with bees to collect honey, I drove the tractor, I worked a lot in the garden (collect, sow, weed, ...), I cleaned the house, went to the market, I made preserves (to sell at the market), ...

I'm now close to Berlin in a Buddhistic Temple. Doing some renovation and construction work as a volunteer.

But now I would like to enjoy and explore the city Berlin, so I'm searching for a host to meet!
