About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently putting every ounce of sweat and other salty human leavings into helping the US fist program conquer the conference globe...

ABOUT ME

I take fun too seriously.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to help when I can and take only what I need; a more successful man might take what he can and help only when he needs something. Pahhh lame...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In my small way, I'm attempting to remove the itchy insulation fluff between cultures so that someone stronger (or with a really big hammer) might knock a few walls down--with the appropriate reverence for belief systems and tradition, of course.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made a CS friend. She had been my friend previously (in the small world outside of CS), and I felt like I was filling-out forms at the motor vehicle agency.. but a friend is a friend.

Interests

I enjoy poetry, film, music, fiction, clutter, ambiguous mementos, concerts, big, heavy coats in cold winter lines, resealable bags, stretching, velcro, volleyball, small/intimate/spirited gatherings, and so on in that fashion.

Music, Movies, and Books

Good music may include any of the following, or a combination thereof: punky folk, harmonic punk, indie metal, dancy hardcore, electronic pop, classical, gypsy, and/or something simple but catchy.
You already know this, but the Cohen bros. make enjoyable films. Hitchcock, W. Anderson, Miyazaki, Kurosawa, Fellini, and Kubrick are quite good, as well. I also have an inexplicable weakness for films by Chaplin, Lang, and H. Lloyd (though, in fairness, I just keep watching the same two or three whenever they come on PBS in the early AM hours). There are too many brilliant novels, dramas, poems, songs, lines, phrases, words to list.
