ABOUT ME

I'm easy going, open minded and always willing to have some fun.

I'm rather athletic, I enjoy the outdoors or a pickup game moreso than a night out clubbing or partying. I've played competitive sports all of my life, though in adult life it's like you have to grow up and stop enjoying sports! I enjoy ice hockey, football (european), american football and most activities like those.

When I travel I try to spend at least half my time hiking in the outlaying areas of a beautiful city. I like to grab a Kayak and explore the waterways. Skydiving throughout the worlds drop zones is an awesome way to get a unique blend of culture too as skydivers are about the same anywhere you are!

In addition I really enjoy the sciences and intellectual discourse. There are few conversations I relish more than deep, personal, rangey ones. The more divergent viewpoints the more interesting the conversation.

I have a penchant for artists, writers and musicians. I might've gone down two of those paths in another life so I like most being around them.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is happiness, all that we want and strive for is to be happy. Whether it's making millions or settling down with nearly empty coffers to form a family, how can you ever be disappointed with what you've done if you're happy? I've always tried to influence the people around me to be better people, to laugh more, to think openly and critically and to just do it (you).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Really enjoying the experience of surfing, I'm looking forward to putting together some events for travellers coming to the Niagara Falls area in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

For movies, I'm all about American cinema. It's truly the one and maybe only thing we really contribute to the world's culture. I love foreign films as well and spend a lot of my leisure time in connection with cinema, I like to watch it, critique it, particularly if I hate it, and get a little more out of it.

A lot of people say they listen to 'all kinds' or 'a lot' of music and maybe they just exaggerate but with me I have such a varied library of music that it's too close to tell apart. No matter who you are, we probably have some of the same taste in music because I've yet to find someone who doesn't!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first step from a 'perfectly good airplane' in 2005. No one ever forgets their first jump and because I'm not a fan of heights, I'm actually rather terrified of them, as soon as I had the means I started skydiving. It was truly love-at-first-sight from that first moment.

I've never been one to shy aware from an adventure, particularly a challenge, so I've heard it said that "I don't have goals, just accomplishments." I think that's rather fitting.
