Greek-Belgian student, I study political philosophy in Lyon, France.

PHILOSOPHY

travel is not like tourism => in tourism you just "tour", e.g. you see things you already saw in photo and do not get to know anything that was not included in your tour, nothing that you didn't really know already., whereas travelling means letting yourself know things that you did not foresee or even imagine - the inside of a culture, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's not formally couchsurfing since I did not use the website : once I was hosted in an iraqi's house in Yazd, Iran, a wonderful person whith whom I shared almost no common language - he spoke only a few words in english and used you for is - but it was still an exhilarating experience!
