Currently working on a graduate degree in Lyon, France and singing in a metal band.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when possible and certainly travel when able.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two sky divers from Virginia stayed at my house in North Carolina - to my complete surprise. I fried up some delicious walleye fish, from my hometown in Ohio, and we had interesting conversations.
A hardcore, straightedge dude stayed at my place in Tacoma, Washington.
A German girl surfed my house in Okinawa and we went to the huge aquarium here, whilst sampling pineapple wine and cheesy Japanese kitsch.
I couchsurfed in Europe, United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Its been awesome!

I have surfed couches in Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Australia, Hong Kong, and New Zealand. I have met couchsurfers in other countries, including Thailand and Philippines. All were fantastic experiences.

I am very much alive. I laugh at everything around me.

I am always seeking intense and true experience.

I play the guitar, bass, hand drums, and I love to record music. I listen and dance to wide variety of music - extreme metal, hardcore, dubstep, electronic, jazz, Arabic, classical guitar, etc...music that is meaningful and intense, that drives me.

I love to help and teach people.

I really like being in the water. I see it in my dreams. Bodyboarding, sea kayaking, whitewater kayaking, kayak surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving.

Outdoors and adventure. Hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, cooking on the campfire, snowboarding, and enjoying the rain.

Exercise is key. The body is a temple.

Food - my first true love. All sorts and lots of it. I have a sweet tooth too. Tea is great. Root beer floats and creme soda interest me, especially when it accompanies a really big, rare steak. And maybe some boxing.

I like to read, especially about psychology philosophy. I like to think and reflect on things.

My art is a bit wild, but I love to do it and watch things develop.

I adore travel and foreign cultures. It opens the mind.

Intense music and literature that deals with human nature, existence, the creative process, and free will. Metal and dubstep are currently my favorite forms of music, but I also love jazz, dnb, ambient, electronic, jam, big band, Persian, etc. If it has passion and true emotion, then I can probably identify with it.
