About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living, dancing, hiking, biking and help others!

ABOUT ME

Love life in general. Enjoy creative cooking; enjoy talking and meeting new people from different culture, region and various life styles. Embrace Literature, music and arts. Do a variety of sports.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm practicing a philosophy of life by combining different philosophy from well recognized wise people and interpretations of myself:
1)”The happiness that is genuinely satisfying is accompanied by the fullest exercise of our faculties, and the fullest realisation of the world in which we live.” – by Bertland Russell. My interpretation: exploring as much as one’s own abilities, and together with bringing out the same of others as much as one can, to make a better world.
2) "A person starts to live when he can live outside himself." - by Albert Einstein. There are sure many implications behind this. Mine would be: Escaping from the prison of self-concentration and being an observer of the larger picture help a better understanding of the principles underneath, and a better and a more harmonic connection to the universe, both of which would lead to a better life for individuals.
3) Pain is Inevitable, but suffering is Optional. It’s true in many cases, I just name one here: sports. When after 6 or more hour’s continuous sports, let’s say, hiking in the woods, you may end up with bleeding toes no matter how comfortable your sport shoes are. But is that a suffering? If you practicing enduring sports like marathon regularly, I believe you would understand what I’m talking about without any problems. So does it apply to life in general, which makes me a strong believer in that taking life easily and seeing it as a dancing partner with whom one can dance lightly rather than being tired. How to achieve that? If you ever learnt dance, you know that practicing makes one a perfect dancer. For me, I apply the philosophy 1) in my practicing dancing with life.
Well, that’s pretty much a self-feeding and somehow complicated of philosophy. Hope it's clearly stated if you have read through till the end. ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Definitely Tibet is the place where impressed me most. I’m now training my biking skills for a preparation of Sichuan-to-Tibet biking (2200 kms in total, and a lot altitude to climb) with my sister, hopefully in this summer or the next one. I also liked a lot Quebec city (of course during Summer) and Freiburg im Breisgau, the entry point to the scenic beauty of the Black Forest.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don’t be scared.. My specialty now that makes a comfortable living for me is designing next generation of Internet infrastructure, namely IPv6. But no worries, I understand people have generally no interests in understanding how the technically the Internet will be designed as long as you can access Internet tomorrow. Just as people enjoy bread not necessarily meaning they’re interests in the details of how the bread are made of flour. But if you claim yourself are not as a general case, I’d be definitely glad to explain. ;-)

Countries I’ve Visited
