About Me

I am a senior in Jinan University, Guangzhou, China, majoring in Accounting, ACCA. Before college, I am a typical "Chinese Student"-studying, taking examinations and probably excelling at Maths(that's not true)... During college, I joined AIESEC-the global volunteering orgainzation, receiving young volunteers from all over the world respectively in Zhuhai City and Guangzhou City and started to know the wonderful outside world from their eyes!

So here I am! A curious girl who expects an unforgettable experiences around the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Aparting from saving money, the most exciting thing about Couchsurfing is the close connection and interaction with local people from the cities I will be visting. And what I value most during journey is nothing more than people connection. Paying a visit to a dream city without talking to the local citizens and knowing the special customs is like holding a beloved book but just glancing at its cover without reading it! What a waste!

Interests

Like all other travelers, I love visiting different cities, talking to people coming different background, experiencing various culture and customs. What's more, I also love reading, and writing some short stories from time to time and playing badminton.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love pop, jazz and classical music.

Movie: Except horror movies, I basically love all kinds of movies with wonderful plots and smart lines. Good looking leading actors are pluses with no doubt:P So far, Gone With The Wind is my favorite. Great actors, great story and smart lines!

Books: I am not a "bookworm", though I envy those who are. I would still try to do some reading when it is possible. Since I major in Accounting, I spend plenty of time on professional books like accounting, finance and economics. Apart from that, I also love reading romantic fiction. Yishu, the famous Hongkong female writer is one of my favorite writers. In her story, most of the female charactors are beautiful, independent, smart and integral, even though they are also a little bit cynical and mean.
Recently, I have been reading the Rich Dad, Poor Dad and The Greatest Salesman. They are both very great!
Just like the old saying, you are what you eat. You are also what you read! Food feeds your body while books feed your mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, when I was still a freshmen in college, I joined AIESEC, the global volunteering organization. During my membership in AIESEC, I worked in the iGCDP Function and took part in the project team--U'r Not Alone which aims to help the autistic children in my community.

For the first time, I knew that in this planet, there were some people who were totally different from us. However, differentiation never makes them less than the ordinary. I am so glad that I get this opportunity to know them, play with them and do some small things for them.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Cantonese Cuisine; Mandarin & Cantonese

Since I come the Guangzhou City which is located in the south part of China, I not only speak the Mandrain, but also speak Cantonese! I can teach you both of my mother language. Even though, I am not a brilliant cook (my mom definitely is...) but still I cook for myself from time to time in college. So maybe, I could teach you some simple Cantonese dishes.

Learn: The local culture, language( I will try to learn some...) and custom.

Share: Chinese history, culture, custom;

What I Can Share with Hosts

Like what I said in Teach, Learn and Share, I could share the Cantonese Cuisine with the hosts, my AIESEC experiences, Chinese culture, history and custom.

Countries I’ve Visited
