Overview
About Me
Hi there! I'm Xin, a graduate student @ Georgia Tech. I majored in psychology @ UW-Madison, where I worked on research projects around digital mental health interventions.
Beyond academics, I enjoy cooking, hiking, exploring antique stores, learning about different cultures, thinking about ways to be involved with civic engagement to help undeserved communities.
I'm easy-going and super chill. I love talking with people from various backgrounds to learn about their unique viewpoints of the world :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe the most enriching way to travel is to immerse yourself in the local culture and experience destinations through the eyes of residents. Instead of just hitting the major tourist attractions, I want to live like a local – eating their food, hanging out where they gather, and discovering the off-the-beaten-path spots that make each place unique.
One of my goals when traveling is to gain fresh perspectives by connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. Hearing their stories and learning about how they view the world allows me to expand my own horizons.
