About Me
Hello :) I am a Chemical Engineering student in Singapore who is currently on an exchange programme. I love meeting different people, learning about different cultures, and to discover the world. My other interests include dance, playing sports in general (although I'm not very good at any in particular). Recently, I've taken up photography and editing and am beginning to see it as a form of expression :) you can view my gallery at https://500px.com/limxin
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love interaction with the locals, as I feel that every individual has a unique story to share, and more often than not, there is something inspiring to learn from him/her as well. There's no better way to do this than to live in a local's home! My lifelong aim is to discover the world around me, and I've already met many hosts in my travels who have provided me with eye-opening, invaluable knowledge.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2015, I went on an overseas service learning trip to Tacloban, Philippines, in a collaboration with Mercy Relief to aid the community in their recovery efforts from Typhoon Haiyan. Together with the local workers, architects and engineers, the team helped to build a water purifying reed bed treatment system, as well as an urban garden as an additional source of income for the community.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Currently, as I am away from my home country, there isn't anything I can bring, but I am more willing to have a chat and share about Singapore's culture, like our multiracialism, diverse food culture, "Singlish", and iconic landmarks!
