In the words of a young Ernesto Guevara de La Serna; to explore a world I have only known in books and films and, of course, to meet its unique and diverse people.

ABOUT ME

I was born in beautiful Mexico City, moved to Los Angeles, Ca. when I was about 15 and have been living here since then and I will be moving to Denmark at the beginning of this year.
I was enrolled in college, majoring in social sciences.
I'm a film freak, music addict, art whore, and cuisine slut; in that order (nevermind that I don't do either one of them).
I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy, easy-going , open-minded, sometimes taking my self too seriously, but I try to be as reasonable as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying to find that ever elusive balance between happiness and responsability while being able to make this a better world for all and meeting its diverse people.

兴趣

I love going to english and spanish rock/alternative concerts and gigs here in Los Angeles, always willing to discover new bands that catch my interest. I am an avid reader and I enjoy reading works about history and political and social issues as well as good literary works by many authors. Another one of my passions is film, I love dearly going to the cinema for Latin, foreign and independent films; I prefer serious films that don't relay solely on especial effects and inverosimile situations eventhough I do enjoy the ocacional horror and science fiction flick.
I love going to some of the many museums here in Los Angeles and surrounding areas as well as trying cuisine from countries in this cosmopolitan metropolis that is LA. And of course I always enjoy meeting new people.

- Movies; I love foreign and independent films, especially the newly emerging wave of Latin cinema, Amores Perros, El Crimen del Padre Amaro, Y tu Mama Tambien, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Science of Sleep, Babel, The King, Piedras Verdes, Todo el Poder, Deficit, Voces Inocentes, El Violin, Temporada de Patos, No Country for Old Men, Good Night and Good Luck, Syriana, Schindler's List, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jacky Brown, The Last King of Scotland, Good Bye Lening and I also happen to enjoy the ocacional horror/sci-fi and super hero flick.
- Music: I love mexican/latin and english rock, alternative, punk, experimental and folk music, and lately I have been listening to some electronic. I prefer to listen to heart-felt music inspired by the artists and not bubblegum stuff. Some of my favorites bands are Cafe Tacvba, Caifanes/Jaguares, Maldita Vecindad, Fobia, Panteon Rococo, Tijuana No!, Manu Chao, La Barranca, Lila Downs, Fabulosos Cadillacs, Arbol, amongst many others.
I also love Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Radiohead, The Cure, A Perfect Circle, Bjork, Blonde Redhead, Interpol, Editors and the like.
Though I must say I really am not very fond of rap/hip hop and country music.
- I love reading and I prefer to read about books that deal with political and social issues as well as history. Some of my favorite authors are Albert Cadmus, Carlos Fuentes, Noam Chomsky, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Howard Zinn, Julia Alvarez, Chalmers Johnson, Paco Ignacio Taibo II, Naomi Klein among many others.
Some books I have enjoyed dearly are: In the Time of the Butterflies, Blowback, The Sorrows of Empire, The Shock Doctrine, The Cristal Frontier, The Stranger, Freedom Thinkers, Killing Hope, Rain of Gold, and many more.
