About Me
Just your average friendly Canadian! I say sorry far too often :)
I was born and raised in this country, but I've always felt the need to see other places. I have seen most of Canada and a good portion of the United States.
I run a small technology company near Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend mentioned this was a great way to see different places. In my home country, I have done similar things and through the generosity of others - travelled great distances.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the old rock classics, r&b, and soul music. I lean toward action and science fiction in movies and books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's a long list. So many wonderful experiences I can share.
Perhaps the biggest blessing has been to return many times to a wonderful country and maintain friendships. I have been to the Dominican Republic more than 15 times and have many dear friends. When I return, many recognize me and call me "Grande".
Teach, Learn, Share
Over the years I have learned far more than I could ever teach. The true beauty of travelling is meeting people, making real connections, and getting to know life in other places.
That being said, it has been a blessing to offer my knowledge and skills in technology to others. Routinely I find myself in places where language is a barrier, but "broken computer" is universal :)
I'm also physically great with building and tools and have helped others build houses while travelling. I love to help wherever I can.
Oh yes, and I'm happy to help you learn English.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Most importantly, I share a willingness and interest in connecting and understanding others. Sometimes we don't have lots of time, but I always prefer to learn more about the people. Touristy places are great, but I want to understand life where you are.
