About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to take life slow and appreciating every new day by being grateful for all the magical and breathtaking things around us, above and under water ;)

ABOUT ME

My name is Stef. I'm a big dreamer and am always on the move. I'm literally can't sit still for long. I love trying out new things and making friends all over the world.
I'm so grateful for all the unforgettable experiences and friends I made all other the world.

I'm in love with travelling and nature. Just thinking about running through the forest, hiking up a mountain, diving in the ocean or through the sky, exploring a new country and it's culture, making new friends all over the world, makes my heart beat even higher.
My favorite quote is: "You're an adventurer traveling on the highway of life." And we definitely all are. I'm always making plans what to explore and where I wanna go next.

A few fun facts and dreams from me:

1) I totally can't tell jokes. And literally have to say it's a joke for people to understand it.

2) I'm a little scared of frogs. It gets better. ;)

3) Always take my yoga mat with me when I'm traveling

4) One of my dreams is to travel to every country in the world !! .. or at least know one person from each country !

5) Getting 120 years old would be awesome. (;

6) Through scuba diving I want to support others to regain or develop self-esteem, and self-confidence I want to run the New York marathon and a triathlon one day.

7) Among my big five in life definitely counts scuba diving with whale sharks, humpback whale, orcas, galapagos turtles and one day.

8) I hope to add the New York Marathon and a Triathlon to my finisher memories.

9) I'm commited to live every day fulfilled with joy and enthusiam to empower others to believe in themselves and also go after their dreams.

PHILOSOPHY

"Don't look back, when the way goes on! Enjoy here and now!!"

"Before courage there will be fear!!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not really interested in going to the Eiffel tower and hopping on the tourist bus to see things. I'm interested in why you live there, what and where you eat for breakfast, how you spend your weekends, what you do after work, what you do for work. I enjoy experiencing life and different cultures in parts of the world I didn't grow up in.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed some couches and hang out with amazing people during an unique time in America and Berlin. Due to situationals conditions we can't host and accomodate you right now. So I rather meet up and show people around from all aorund the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far my couchsurfing experiences were = amazing, awesome, unique, charming, exciting, fantastic, UNFORGETTABLE !!
Through CS I meet incredible people who totally inspired me and became lifelong friends!!
I kept in touch with some of my hosts/guests and we visited each other again. One of my hosts actually ended up moving to Berlin because of me. Another guest and now friend, even took our wedding photos. (:

I just love the bonds you can create through connecting and sharing.

Interests

I love food. It's what makes my day and can instantly change my mood. I love talking about life and how we can't predict it, ever and it always turns out to be better than expected. Some other things I really enjoy are running, stargazing (especially because I could't really see the stars in Berlin for years), meditating, yoga, dancing around like nobody's watching, all sorts of sport like climbing, scuba diving, skydiving, snowboarding, biking and also motorbiking, photography, discovering my limits or new things and especially LAUGHING !

A couple of things I would currently love to learn… rock climbing, surfing, wingsuit, sewing aerial pole, breathwork, different forms of meditation and being more mindful. Maybe you will be a part of this journey.

One day I would love to sail down the atlantic coast, paraglide the Alps and try out cliff-jumping.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading, but definitely need to make more time for it. From thrillers, fantasy, romance, women's books, historial novels, science books to spiritual books. If I start a book it's hard for me to even put it aside for eating. My favorite books are "the tea rose"-triology by Jennifer Donnelly. When I read "behind closed doors" by Ba Paris it creepied me out so much that I had to finish it in one go. The book "Ikigai" from Héctor García and Francesc Miralles really inspired me.
I worked part-time in a movie theatre.. so I've definitely seen a lot of the new ones.
The serial "Virgin river" just made me long to live surrounded by lots of trees and forest. So it will be either this or the ocean one day.
I appreciate most kinds of music and I am always happy to discover new inspiration.
My music taste varies from electronic, soul, reggae, indie, punkrop, rap to brass pop and am always looking forward to discover new bands. Sometimes I just randomly make a few dance moves… even in public transportation. (;

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stargazing after a long time again in a pitch black night in Austria and realizing how many stars there actually are and how small we humans are compared to them.
Living on other continents although everybody told me not to... and I haven't regretted it a little bit.
Overcame my fear of heights through bungee-jumping, house-running and skydiving.
Running my first marathon in Berlin and having such a endorphin rush in the final metres which made me cry out of joy.
Skydiving in the national park area in Bovec, Slovenia and swimming with hawksbill turtles.
Roadtrip down the west coast in America.

Teach, Learn, Share
