First things first, I'm the realest, oh oh, STOP IT! anyway, I am totally new to this, so PLEASE don't go away when you see there is absolutely zero reference in my page. Oh you know what, my new year's resolution, well, a February resolution, if that's a thing: get at least 20 references by the end of the year! (It shouldn't be that hard right?)

I finished law school last year in the US and started my nomad lifestyle right after. I was a journalist in Colombia for about half a year, covering human rights related issues. Now I moved to Turkey to continue my career. Journalism is my passion and life calling.

Super diving maniac -- Certified Rescue Diver, 70+ dives on logbook, number is still counting! Those magnificent marine creatures just make people feel small compared to mother nature. The sound of bubbles coming out your mouth was the only thing you hear under water, that kind of tranquility is heaven sent.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Seriously, meeting people is definitely my priority during travel, probably due to the fact that I was working as a journalist before. I really love talking to people and telling them my stories. But the real reason why I am on Couchsurfing is that I am eager to hear stories from other people, too. Getting to know a place by hearing locals' stories, hmm, is there a better way to travel?

Another reason: meeting/hosting people from the place you traveled to in your own place sounds pretty awesome!

Seriously though, on top of my mind, interests other than diving: writing (I am really working on my novel right now), music (this is everyone's "interest" when they don't really have an interest unless they are the Beatles, which I absolutely parents ask me not to go, like Iraq, Libya, Iran, Nigeria, etc.

Music: I am really into music seriously, so anything good is good (I know this is trash) the Beatles, Coldplay, Arctic Monkey, Ed Sheeron, Myself in the shower (I am getting bored listing people, this is fun haha)

Movies: NO HORROR MOVIES!!! other than that, they are all good (I just don't get it why people would torture themselves by watching horror movies)

Books: Life of Pi, Life of Pi, Life of Pi x a billion times!!! Don't get me wrong, I am not that kind of person who reads like one book and tells everyone that he is CRAZY about literature. I do have a keen interest in books, ranging from history to philosophy, from medicine to astronomy, from fictional to non-fictional. 1Q84 is the one I am reading right now.

I was in Gaza when a bomb dropped 20 yards away from me. well it wasn't amazing, but it was pretty hardcore.

Let's talk about amazing things, oh oh oh, I did my bungee jump and first dive in the same day!! Other than that, does cycling 800 miles from my city to Tibet in 15 days, or going on a 7 day diving cruise in Indonesia, trying to spot weird marine lives, or being able to witness the breathtaking animal immigration in Kenya whilst me sitting in a huge hit ballon, or having the privilege to visit the magnificent Damascus before it got torn down during the civil war count as AMAZING? I don't know, probably? :p
