CURRENT MISSION

Be as open as I can possibly be. Only way to achieve this, is to live life thru the hearts of others. I see myself as a citizen of the world, do not differentiate between origins, yet am very interested in all cultures. So basically, I am one bipolar conflicting mess.

ABOUT ME

This profile used to be in use of three girls, all three from the Netherlands - Amsterdam. However, now it's me (Emel) continuing with my couchsurfing adventure. We have lived in Montreal: Canada, with the three of us studying for a semester on a partner university.

At this moment I am in Jakarta to do my internship. Yet another fortune to explore the world and its wonderful cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

Every single moment, every person, and every setback in life is an opportunity to grow, to learn and to improve life, your own and that of others. They say, avoid the things in life that are full of risks. We say, front them, as it will only make you a greater person, in heart and mind. Broaden your heart, and your knowledge.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have been to Miami and Chicago and NY, all three places we have been able to be hosted by incredible and open people. We are still struck by how nice and giving this world's beings can be.

Interests

Two words is all I need in life: travel and fitness.. ok and food of course, can't forget that as food-lover.
I enjoy being around new, interesting people and travel as much as possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Live far away from home for the first time, on the age of 20, for a period of four months. Without mom to clean after me, cook for me, or dad to give me money.
I've been able to find myself, how cliché this might sound. Even when you think you know yourself, you will find out things you didn't.
