Born and raised in Canada, I've traveled many a road and have never tired of meeting new people from different places. Where I live now in Pardes Hanna, north of Tel Aviv near Caesarea, is a centre of the bohemian sub-cultures in Israel. There are always interesting events happening: music, shamanic ceremonies, ecstatic dance, all kinds of workshops in things like Rebirthing, Reiki, Conscious Relating and Communication, Tantra, Wim Hof, Women's and Men's Circles, etc etc. 12 min drive from the beach. I teach locally, many of the teachers and organizers here are friends and acquaintances, and I can usually point you to something interesting to do, depending on time of year and how busy I am. Almost all events here will switch to English if international visitors are present.

Grunge, Funk, Hard Rock, Psy-Trance. Also the playlists from the festivals around here are usually very good, though I can't tell you exactly what it is. A lot of really sweet creative trancey world music type of thing going on lately.

I like sci fi films and shows, especially intelligent dystopian stuff like Bladerunner 2049, Westworld, Altered Carbon. Black Mirror is kinda too dark, but necessary! Love weird millenial cartoons, Rick and Morty, Bojack, Big Mouth. GoT.

Books: I read things related to esoteric energetic practice like Mantak Chia, David Deida, some Jungian psych, Taoism. I'm well read in other areas too, psych in particular, just more interested in embodied practice than in books in recent years.
