About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Living :)

Hello, I start traveling again =) So, I'm not available to host you at the time, I hope we can meet you when I come back.
Amor, Paz y Fuego en el alma <3

Hello Everybody, lately the things are more difficult in México, at least for me.
I think is not only México, is happening at planetary level. So, I looking for people aware of this and not just traveling or at least open to do some voluntary work around, sorry but I really hosted a lot of people, some of them amazing and inspiring in all levels, but other just trying to save money and is not more time for me for that.
So if you are interest in share stories about people standing up for their rights, or people helping people to make the rights be respected, send me a request, and tell me: What you know and what do you want to know about México.
Big hugs to everybody else and wish you the best in all your journeys (make sure that your journey is your life)
PLEASE READ COMPLETE MY PROFILE.

(English) PLEASE READ:
- No more whatsapp to get in touch, we will do in the normal way.
Sorry guys but sometimes is really difficult answer you by wpp, cause time and damn predictor text in the phone is a nightmare. So, only here. Sorry about that.
I do recycling, so please remember ask me about the garbage.
If you are coming with a friend please tell me where she/he is from and age.

Info about Palenque staying and places around: go down to What I can share...

I love travel, learn about Cultures, experience new things, share about life and all the ways to know the other, the other thinking, the other life, the other that we are.

All kind of music, discovering new styles, new food, feel the spirit of a free world, free people everywhere sharing, talking, thinking, making, dreaming.

I hope I can meet you during my big beautiful journey call life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

All of you are welcome to Chiapas; I hope that you enjoy and you can find your path...

Gracias.

Due to the things are changing so fast in this site, I want to be clear with you about my expectatives and what would be your expectatives if you staying at home:

My home is a simple home, you'll sleep in a matress that is in a common space, (living room, diner & kitchen), in summer Palenque is super hot and I don't have air conditioner in that room, only a fan. You can sleep outside or in a hammock.
I don't have hot water, the reason is because almost all the time is super hot, but some days in winter could be cold.
You can bring your food and make your meals, and of course we can share.
I have internet at home, but sometimes is not working properly and if I'm in the middle of something important (study or work) I'll ask you that don't use, because is super slow with two devices at the same time.
It's some damn hot some days, is on your own!
What I expect about you:
I expect that you send me a properly request, not a msg (If you want information for things to do around, go down)
Please I don't want a statement but I want that you know I receive so many requests and msgs and is taking me a lot of time answer all, so if I can't answer your msg or request really sorry in advance.
I expect nice people, open to share and talk about our life, people with full profile (I don't care if you don't have references if is your first time doing couchsurfing)
I want to make sure that we have common interests and what are you thinking or doing in your trip.
I expect that you respect the time I tell you for your arrive.
In Palenque we don't have properly adresses so, If I accept you I'll send you a msg with the way to get home, please, read carefully and would be easy for me and for you.
Also I expect that you leave a reference, is the only way for the other surfers or hosts to know how are you, and about your experience at home.

Sorry, about all this kind of "new rules" but last time couchsurfing looks like the new wave and everyone is using, that's ok, but I think we are loosing some important things to remember, for me couchsurfing is not only about free place to stay, is about solidarity, connecting and sharing the good things in life. So if you are only looking for a free place to stay, Palenque has many cheap places.
:::::: I don't enjoy people that the first thing they ask is about WiFi key and after that spend all the time in their smartphones, so if you are that type of people, look for a hostel :::::::::

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As you can see I really enjoy doing Couchsurfing, I have been in really great good experiences, some of them so so, but the most important thing is I made friends, caring friends, and also I enjoy be hosted for kind people all over the world. Thank you everyone!!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Here the information about Palenque.
The main site to visit is for sure Palenque Mayan Ruins, so in the road to go to this site there are many places to stay:
If you are a party traveller the place for you is Panchán (cheap cabins & place to camping) also a good restaurant: Don Mucho's live music, good food and reasonable prices also you can invite me to join you in the party :P
If you really want to rest, there are others like Mayabell or the cabins in front of Panchán, so you can go to the party at night and then go to sleep quietly.
If you want stay in town, the place that I always recommend is Yaxkin hostel http://www.yaxkinhostels.com/ super close to the bus station and nice people around.
Eat: Beside Don Mucho's in El Panchán (italo mexican food and plenty vegetarian options) If you are vegetarian you can go to the central park and the first stand beside the church is call "Caracol de Jade" you can find there vegetarian options and kind of typical food, also you can try there: tazcalate (a prehispanic beberage) and Guanabana fresh water, is a peculiar fruit for this zone.

If you are in the mood of tacos, you can go to Tropitacos is in the main avenue easy to find them, you can try there Gringas (kind of quesadilla: pastor meat with cheese and pineapple) also try the Guanabana water.

What else to do in Palenque?
Beside the beautiful pyramids we also have amazing rivers, my favorite one is Roberto Barrios (if you are coming in rain season is not worth it) you can go there in public transportation ("combi" or colective) the stop is in the market, ask around. You need to go early because the last combi that come back to Palenque is around 4 pm. (You need to pay a fee for entrance the site (25 pesos), and there are kids around that guide you, they expect a tip for you, is worth it).
If you want to go Yaxchilan & Bonampak the best way to go is by tour, is the cheapest and comfortable way to go there, the same for Agua Azul and Misolha waterfall, you can do by your own, but you need to walk maybe 1 or 2 kms, that sounds easy but if it is superhot I really don't recommed.
In rain season the rivers and waterfalls are not blue.
Well, I think is almost everything. Enjoy your time here and remember: Palenque is a poor city that lives mostly of tourism, so if your budget allow you and the service was good, let a tip.
I hope it will be useful information for your trip.
