¡Hola! My name is Yago (like the Parrot in Aladdin).
I'm an industrial engineering student from Madrid, who is completely obsessed about exploring the world. That's why I use every opportunity I have to get out and travel, usually in a simple style, alone , with a light backpack and a small budget. What I love the most about it, is the feeling of absolute freedom I experience , as opposed to the one I experience while studying thermodynamics in the library hahaha.
Another important thing to know about me is, I love mountains , and I practice all kind of mountain sports , such as rock climbing, alpinism, mountain skiing... Plus, I'm kind of an adrenaline junkie, and I never miss the opportunity to do some sky diving, bungee jumping, cliff diving...

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm in Couchsurfing because I want to be able to get more deeply surrounded by the culture of the countries I visit. I think that beeing able to stay at a local's home gives you a great perspective on how normal people live there and how normal life is where you are travelling. Also, I want to make new friends all around the globe, and what a better way to do that than actually sleeping at their house!
The fact that someone opens their door to you for nothing in exchange is just amazing, and it makes me feel so blessed.

兴趣

As I said above, I love anything related to mountains and adrenaline sports.
I also play clarinet and study music since I was 5 years old, so music has been an important part of my life during a long time.
One of my life goals, is to be a successful entrepreneur, and I'm very interested in the fields of e-commerce, digital marketing ...
I also love to study the economy, and I consistently invest and trade in the stocks market and the financial derivatives market.
Other interests of mine are politics and philosophy.
I have lately been really interested in philosophy for some personal reasons, as I believe philosophy can guide you through trying to get an answer for the big life questions

Currently reading: Emotional Intelligence, by Daniel Goleman.
I love books and movies that make you think and teach you. I like to think a lot about life and the world, so I try to surround myself with the things that make me wonder.
Also, I love mountain literature, and really enjoy reading books about climbers, alpinists, explorers... My favorite ones until now have been "The Push", by Tommy Caldwell, and "My vertical World", by Jerzy Kukuczka.

How should I pick one! Many amazing experiences, from skydiving , to volunteering in the Dominican Republic, to going partying in Bucharest with the crazy people I just met in the hostel, or playing clarinet concerts with my band.
